What follows in this instalment of Fix You, I suppose sets the scene for the future instalments, I am on the argue well-nigh my feelings towards Olivia for now (I call back that volition exist resolved past her deportment in role two), but as I expected Christine Bell has given me another sexy, rough on the outside, soft every bit silk on the inside guy to fall caput-over-bookboyfriend-heels in lust with, in Bash McDaniels.
When I saw her upwards close for the kickoff time. I'd wanted to tuck her into my chest and hold her tight. To tell her that everything was going to be all right. To impact her skin considering it looked and then goddamned soft and sweet. I felt the same this fourth dimension.
Self defense force training has never been so sexy, and if there is a sign upwardly sheet for some one-on-one sessions, put me at the top!
I am merely glad we only have to wait until thirty/04 for the next function considering I am hanging right now!

I had no idea what I was getting into… I didn't fifty-fifty read the summary!
Fix You lot is a serial that volition be told in three parts all arriving fairly quickly, though non quick enough if you're greedy similar I am.
On the exterior, Olivia seems to have it all. The perfect boyfriend, the rich family unit… but appearances can be deceiving for sure. Subsequently recently finding out her family is virtually bankruptcy and her childhood friend turned boyfriend has started getting fierce with her and she isn't sure where her life is headed. A chance encounter in a bar ends up opening her life to someone unexpected, someone she finds herself wanting to depend on.
For Sebastian, the college bar he works at is just a brief stop to make some cash while he trains for the large fight coming on the horizon. Merely he tin can't but stand around and lookout some douche rough up this girl when he could do something about it.
Both Olivia and Fustigate know that whatever chemistry is between them can't and won't last however neither can seem to walk away. Unfortunately, Olivia'southward ex isn't willing to let go either.
I will just say it outright. I adore the characters that Christine Bong creates. They feel existent and layered and flawed, just like regular people. The guys are most certainly not perfect and Fustigate is rough and advised and wants to fight for a living and his past has definitely shaped who he is today and non all in positive ways. And Olivia … There was a lot that I loved about her. I hated the situation she was in, just I understood her desire to desire to see the proficient in her ex, and the determination to not give upwardly that person who she has loved for so long. There were definitely some very incorrect reasons she was still property on, but it made sense. What I liked most about her though, was her conclusion and force to want practise right by herself.
Holy steamy – Bell does an astonishing task with the sexy scenes in her books and this one totally lives upwardly to its predecessors. I am a notorious discussion freak when it comes to these kinds of scenes and Bong does them perfectly! The chemistry between Bash & Olivia was believeable and and then well done.
An instant later, the kiss went from sweet to off the rails. A depression growl came from deep in his throat and he closed his hands over my hips, thumbs pressing into my flesh in a way that turned my stomach into a puddle of taffy. His mouth slanted over mine and teeth and tongues clashed like it was war.
And information technology was. A war inside me, at least. My encephalon had popped back into gear and I knew with every cobweb of my being that what I was doing was wrong. I needed to finish, but my body was so not on lath with that plan. Instead, I pressed closer, mashing my breasts to his chest, moaning into his oral fissure when the heat of his pare seeped into mine.
More.
He anchored me to him, crowding me backward until I felt the arctic of the mirror against my dorsum. Our bodies were flush at present, and he speared a hand through my hair.
Information technology was madness. All-consuming madness.
"Olivia?"
He'd pulled back a scant inch to complain my name before dipping back in to nip my bottom lip hard. I gasped, stunned at the sensation. It stung, just sent a bolt of need slamming through me and so hard, my knees trembled.
"Liv?" he tried again, before tracing my bottom lip with the tip of his tongue.
"I-if you want me to answer you, stop doing that for a sec," I murmured badly.
The but thing that I disliked well-nigh this…. Information technology was as well brusque. I guess that's the toll you pay for picking up a serial, and where Bell leaves part 1 will make you cry because office two isn't out yet, but it wasn't abrupt or too cliffhangery, (that'south totally a discussion) if that'due south a worry you might have when picking this up.
Definitely put Christine Bell on your 'to read list' and make sure y'all choice this one up when information technology arrives on the 31st. Meanwhile I'll just be sitting over hither biting my nails waiting for Function 2 considering OMG!!
Give thanks you to Barclay Publicity for the advance copy in exchange for my honest thoughts

Christine Bell has done information technology again. Fix You lot, volume 1 in Bash and Olivia's story, was one I couldn't put down and when I got the end I wanted to scream.Despite a less than romantic coming together in a local bar, college student Olivia Beckett can't resist the depict of Sebastian "Fustigate" McDaniels. Despite his warnings to stay away, Olivia convinces Bash to give her self defence force lessons. He knows her should do them, considering he needs to concentrate on his fighting and not the beautiful daughter he's training, but he can't say no to her. When Olivia'due south ex-boyfriend decides to brand things hard on Olivia, they get very difficult for Bash.
Both Olivia and Fustigate have issues, which nosotros begin to see the tip of in this first installment. I can't wait to delve more into both of these characters. What we go far this installment are two people trying to deal the best they can with their current situations. For Olivia, that means tightening the spending strings now that her parents are in basically financial ruin and ending things with her long fourth dimension boyfriend. For Bash, it's focusing on his fighting and finding a style to get out. Neither one of them can really employ the distraction of the other, just they can't stay away from each other either.
Set for frustration when you go to the stop of the book, but hopefully nosotros won't have to wait too long for the next installment to get more from Bash and Olivia.

Logic dictates 1 thing that won't get yous in trouble. He'southward selfish and distant and total of drama.
Olivia is the typical young college girl with an abusive swain and no fashion to leave. How about not giving someone a key to your room? My boyfriend in college never had i. How almost you lot not beingness responsible for the actions of your parents and not staying with someone out of guilt and obligation. Sick of the stereotypes.
Ill of the women who justify staying in a bad relationship, especially because your parents squandered their money.

This is my first Christine Bell volume just I call back I will def be striking upward her other books. Novella'south are hard to chief, they either give everything away as well apace. Finish too soon. Don't go enough chemistry to like the H or h.
However Christine has washed just that. We go enough dorsum story to be intrigued.
Enough chemistry to similar the characters.
Plenty mystery near what's to come in the future and enough hints to start our brains working on what that might be.
Well washed.
Equally for the characters: Olivia I'm not 100% sure on, something about her annoys me, simply I'm hoping is fixed in book 2..
Bash.. sigh he's a boxer so I was always going to dearest him. Just similar an egg. Hard on the outside soft on the inside.
Matthias - Interesting, I'm bold as the series is called "McDaniels Brothers" that he gets a book too - Oh and did I mention he'south a MMA fighter? No. Well he's a MMA fighter ^_^
Andy is an asshole.
Oh and I know you all wanna know how the sexual practice is right?
Well I tin say that while sexual chemistry is off the charts hot and goes throughout the book.
There is only 1 sexual practice scene. Not the hottest affair I have read, but def steamy.
OH AND BEWARE... CLIFFHANGER! but only 1 month await till the next is out.

I'm actually torn on whether to give this 4 or 5 stars. On the ane hand, the first 25-ish percent was a bit of a struggle. Olivia's excuses for an abusive boyfriend she wasn't even in dear with bellyaching me profoundly. I disliked how she didn't even have a backbone with her fake friends. Somewhere effectually that marking I idea she was going to be a weak heroine and I debated not finishing, merely it's not like information technology's a long book, so I soldiered on.
I'm really glad I did. By 34% I was warming to Olivia. Presently afterward, I liked her, even though her detail faults oft annoyed me.
For example--and the best one I tin can give, since I had to put the book down for a while after this paragraph: There are a lot of reasons women stay with abusers, make excuses for them, try to "manage" them instead of dumping them like they should. I know this. I get it. Typically information technology'south love; dear tin make y'all excruciatingly stupid. Sometimes, also stupid, you desire to "ready" him or help him. Sometimes it's not about dearest, fifty-fifty if you try to cling to that, it'southward near security. Maybe you alive together and don't know where y'all'll go. Peradventure all your friends are his friends and your family loves him/you lot love his family and don't want to be alone in the world/lose everything.
These are not necessarily good reasons, considering in that location is no adept reason to stay with someone who abuses you, only they are excuses yous can at least somewhat empathise.
The single worst reason I have e'er heard to stay with your abusive boyfriend that you don't really dear anymore?
"If I walked away from him at present without giving him a take chances to open up upwardly to me well-nigh whatever demons he was wrestling, what kind of person would that brand me?"
Fury. So much fury. Bash inwardly mocks the "Maury Povich" response of "But I Dearest him!" only you know what, at least that chick is owning it. At least she's saying, "I'm being an idiot about this because even though I shouldn't, I am even so very much emotionally invested in this jerk that I love."
That, to me, is much more than respectable and man than, "I'm going to requite him another chance considering I want to be a good person."
WHAT ABOUT THAT MAKES You lot A GOOD PERSON? Zippo! It makes you a fucking idiot, but it doesn't give y'all any good person points. You're not doing anyone else any favors by being with this sociopath. You don't owe this guy anything. These are not reasons to be with someone, let lonely stay with someone who hurts yous. Only no.
So that obviously made me mad. Get some cocky-worth, dammit. Worst abuse-excuse ever.
Just the fact that I all the same liked Olivia despite this is testimony to her graphic symbol; I am very particular about my heroines, and she could take easily entered extremely-frustrating-heroine status and become really unlikeable, but she didn't.
Bated from all that abuse-alibi crap, I really enjoyed this book. The characters were realistic, which I honey, and Bash was actually great. Every interaction was written so thoroughly that I could constantly meet the characters as I was reading, come across what they were wearing, what they were doing, how they were moving effectually the scene... I often make full in those blanks myself equally I read, that doesn't carp me personally, only I actually enjoyed the flow of this book. I liked Olivia'due south cute awkwardness effectually Fustigate. (Didn't beloved the name Fustigate, only I gauge with guys out there named Sculpt and Horse and Picnic, I shouldn't mutter nearly Bash, lol.)
I too recall the volume covers are spot on! The character descriptions fit the covers completely, and so practiced job there!
Definitely going to check out the next book to see what happens, and then when I get time, I'm going to read some more Christine Bell. :)

...morePacing: Due to the fact that these are serial reads, the pacing is very fast- Christine does not hesitate in
I've only read one other serial novel before, so I was prepared for the novella feel, merely in no way was I prepared for the ending! It wasn't a cliffhanger per say, but it definitely left me drastic to get my hands on the next volume! I really enjoyed reading Christine's books from the Brazen line, so I knew I would I enjoy this one. For being the beginning serial, it sure packs a steamy dial!Pacing: Due to the fact that these are serial reads, the pacing is very fast- Christine does not hesitate in jumping right in and introducing you to the characters and describing their firsthand allure to 1 another. For this type of novel, I felt it actually worked well.
Storyline: I experience we got a pretty expert introduction to the characters and their personalities here. Olivia and Fustigate come from different worlds and circumstances, but after a chance run across, neither can stop thinking about the other. They know cypher tin come of what they feel, and notwithstanding they find themselves wanting more, consequences be damned. I really practice love the forbidden blazon romances considering it makes every bear upon, feeling, and thought that much more than passionate and powerful.
Characters: Overall, I liked both Bash and Olivia. They take some serious chemistry together and I am really excited to meet where Bell takes them next! On the exterior information technology may seem Olivia Beckett has a slap-up life, merely in reality, it's non as perfect as information technology appears. Olivia's family's fiscal situation is quite serious, and Olivia is on the verge of losing everything. Her seemingly perfect boyfriend, Andy, has a much darker side lurking and if Olivia isn't conscientious, she could end upwards in some real trouble. I actually felt for her, merely I'm glad she realizes the seriousness of the state of affairs and attempts to practise what's best for her, instead of sticking effectually because it'southward what expected. It took her a niggling longer than I liked to observe that courage, as the situation with Andy has been a volatile i long before that night she beginning met Fustigate. She is convinced that the sweet boy she used to know is withal there and he'southward merely an angry drunkard.
I liked Bash immediately. He is a good guy and I really feel he's getting the short end of the stick here, only considering he saw a potentially dangerous state of affairs and took charge of it. We don't find out a whole lot almost Bash's past, but we do discover that he has ii other brothers and is a boxer who wants to get the hell out of Boston. He gives the term 'knight in shining armor' a whole other meaning here and I don't blame Olivia i bit for not existence able to let him slip abroad without him agreement her gratitude and likewise her regret for what he did for her. He tries to distance himself from her because he knows anything they accept can only exist temporary, but Olivia is sweet and sexy and he but can't stay abroad no affair how hard he tries.
Final Thoughts: I am actually looking forrad to seeing where Bell goes with this and encounter if Bash and Olivia volition be able to overcome the multitude of obstacles in their way in club to be together. They both have a program for their lives and whether it volition involve the other is still to exist determined....

...moreThat being said, Ready You does take the potential to grow into a volume I would like to read. It did stop on a balmy cliffhanger which volition probably intrigue me enough to move on to the 2d book. Only the second serial is going to have to possess major growth where Olivia is concerned, and more than explanation where her family unit is concerned, and build more on Bash and Olivia's relationship. The way function one ended, it just felt like a physical connection with no deeper pregnant betwixt the 2.
Again, I don't mind serials but they have to be done fantastically. This i was just so-and so, and the fact that it was a serial on pinnacle of that just made it more frustrating than annihilation. I want to be left needing and wanting more than. Fix You just left me perplexed and wanting it to take gone the extra mile and reach its potential. I sincerely promise this was but a slow start and then next parts in the volume will ascent to the occasion.
Happy Reading!

Olivia is a in one case spoiled little rich girl whose family has lost everything (this function of the story wasn't particularly well adult). She's a higher student whose rich fellow is abusive, particularly when drunk. When the hot, muscled Bash comes to her rescue in a bar bathroom one night, there is an immediate attraction. Bash tries to distance himself but continues to be pulled dorsum to her, even with the legal case against him and preparation for his large fight, he jumps into a human relationship with Olivia, against his brothers' protests.
I liked both of the characters. Olivia was a strong heroine and Bash, despite beingness tall, nighttime, and handsome was relatable and non over the top blastoff. The chemistry between the two was sizzling and it made for a quick, easy read. The book was skilful right up until the end. The terminal two capacity or then felt very rushed. At that place was a lot of build upwards and hype over Fustigate making information technology to the big fourth dimension and it was all glossed over, he made it and that'due south it. I actually wish at that place had been more resolution because in the end, it really felt like I was missing something. This is the first book I've read by Bell and I would definitely pick up another.
...moreI also observe it actually difficult to review but a part of a story. Of course I accept a lot of questions to what has happened to Olivia'southward family with the financial ruin and Bash's history. We get glimpses of that in this part, simply more to come up I guess.
As for the overall storyline and then far it's not original and I feel like I've read this a couple of times before. Also the certain apply of words and the sentences are a bit over the top and slow. The flow is good and I finished it really apace, but I was mostly glad it was over.
Fustigate and Olivia are interesting characters, though over again not very original. Olivia did make a couple of choices then far I tin not agree with and that made information technology hard to connect with her. While Bash was certainly appealing, I had trouble seeing the attraction between these two characters. It was all too instant love-ish, which I'grand non a fan of.
I practice think the die hard fans of New Adult will similar information technology, but it merely wasn't for me.

My review of "Fixing Y'all."I liked "Fixing You" by Christine Bell. Information technology was a short read. More a novella than anything else. I didn't know that when I got the ARC to review it. I probably would have reviewed it fifty-fifty knowing it was a novella, but information technology's more that—it'due south a serial. And I just don't similar serials. I don't see the point in them. Had I know that's what it was, I would accept taken a laissez passer on reviewing "Fixing Yous." Non considering it wasn't good; it was. Only I have and so many books lined upwardly to review that, unless I'm asked to review each book of the serial, I won't accept time to read them. And that is disappointing.
The characters in the volume were existent. They had issues like we all do—well, maybe we don't all take their issues. Considering they had some big problems to deal with. Bash just wanted out. He wanted to showtime a new life in a new city with a new job. He wanted out, the sooner the better. So in walks Olivia and everything went to hell in a hand basket. She had everything, but was on a downward screw. Losing information technology all, including an abusive boyfriend. Aye, they had problems and that'south what made them relatable.
I remember the characters were well written and the story was well idea out, although I don't know that it was quite believable that two people who had and then much problem in their relationship would continue seeking each other out. The pacing was fast, as seems to exist the norm in serials. Information technology'southward a quick read, but a good one. The catastrophe did a good job of hooking the reader for the second volume.
Bottom line: I liked the volume. I do non like that it is a serial.

She'south sweet but has a stiff personality…although I do wonder if she's not a fleck too naïve well-nigh her boyfriend…
Oh, and did I mention that Bash and Olivia have chemistry that practically leaps off the page? Um, aye. I could experience the sexual tension between them and couldn't wait to meet if anything would come up of it!
I loved the dialogue, the humor, and the back and forth with Bash and Olivia. This is a book that I raced through in i sitting! I couldn't put the damn thing down!! The only downside was that I didn't desire information technology to end and when it did – let'south just say I was scrambling for the Volume Two while simultaneously emailing Christine Bong to let her know how much I loved her book and absolutely could not wait to dive into the side by side 1 in the serial! (Never fearfulness, Books Ii and Three are now available)
Overall, a sexy, quick read that had me called-for up my kindle with how fast I was turning pages. It was fresh, sweet, and placed Christine Bell on my authors to read listing!

This time, he pinned her confronting a wall, punched said wall right adjacent to her face then grabbed her throat. Nightclub worker and hottie Sebastian aka Bash, came to her rescue.
